What is Lightning Roulette?
Since its launch in 2018, Lightning Roulette has become the number one live casino game among Indian gamblers. Other speed roulette games existed before but none of them featured enhanced payouts. Lightning Roulette is a live roulette game with enhanced number payouts up to 500x your bet. Having the chance to win more than 35:1 on a straight up bet is what makes this roulette game so popular.
Since our speed live roulette comparisons all feature other games compared to lightning roulette, won’t elaborate more on the latter. We’ve done that already on previous blogs. However, if you want more information you can check out our Lightning Roulette strategy guide.
What is Quantum Roulette?
Quantum Roulette is a live roulette game by Playtech Live. It was launched in 2019 on the heels of success of Lightning Roulette. Up until then, no one dared to explore new roulette innovations. But once the latter game rose in popularity all other live studios started creating their own versions too.
Quantum Roulette Live is actually Playtech’s first live dealer game endeavour that uses win multipliers as high as 500x. The multipliers are applied to straight-up number bet only. So, basically the game plays out exactly like Lightning Roulette but with different scenery and game hosts. If you want to learn more, then check out our Quantum Roulette review.
Lightning Roulette vs Quantum Roulette
Quantum Roulette is Playtech’s answer to Lightning Roulette by Evolution Gaming. When seeing the massive popularity of the win multipliers features, they developed their own Quantum features to replicate the Lightning features. The core gameplay and features are the same, European roulette, Auto Roulette Wheel with no live dealer to spin the ball, so it is more like a Roulette gameshow type of game.
The only differences between the two games are that they are operated by different game providers. So, the games have different names and different set ups. But the game rules, payouts and mechanics all work the same. Mega Roulette from Pragmatic is one other such game but is also just with a different name and scenery.
Do you prefer Evolution’s Lightning series games or Playtech’s Quantum series games? Which studio is the best for you? These are the questions you should ask yourself when picking one over the other. Quantum Roulette is a clone of Lightning Roulette. The gameplay or rules do not differ so it will be personal preference that prevails. We do like the futuristic Quantum game studios though ourselves.
However, there is one thing that may tip the favour to one or the other, availability. Most online casinos feature Evolution’s games but Playtech’s can be a little harder to find. This is despite them being one of the bigger developers of quality games. If you are looking for a casino that has both Evolution and Playtech games, then we recommend JeetPlay Casino:
